Valorant is a free-to-play tactical first-person shooter revolving around precise gunplay with an additional aspect of characters known as ‘Agents’. Each agent has abilities and roles to support their team in specific and unique ways. Games consist of 2 teams of 5 players, where maps are based on fictional areas in different parts of the world. Players are assigned to the attacking or defending side. Defenders are tasked with protecting the bomb-sites on a given map while the attackers are tasked with taking them over to plant the spike.

Valorant is seen by many as a healthy mix between tactical shooters, like Counter Strike: Global Offensive, and Overwatch, where abilities are prevalent. Each game requires coordinated team-play.
